Bruxas da Noite or Night Witches is based on the story of the Soviet Union women during the Second World War.

This project was my final Project at Graphic Design University back in Brazil. I and my teammate Julia found the story of the Night Witches during our second year at university and we knew that our final project had to be about them. We wanted to make a game about their stories, but because of our capabilities and time frame, we had to rethink and decided to go with the animation.

We had never done animation before and had barely any classes in animation during university. So we knew that we were up for a big challenge. We had 6 months to learn how to animate, study their stories and create our project. All this while we were both working and studying.

Julia was responsible for the branding and character art and I was responsible for animation, editing, and environment art.

There were definitely moments we questioned our ability to make this happen, but we were really happy with what we were able to come up with.
